"I don’t know what Pixel Art is.
Can you explain it to me?"

Pixel art is a 2D digital art form made up of small colored squares, the pixels, arranged on a grid to create images, animations, and scenes.

It’s both a technique and an aesthetic language, most often associated with video games, but also used in design, illustration, and interactive media.

"Why should I choose pixel art instead of 3D, digital painting, or vector art?"

When done properly, pixel art delivers striking visuals with strong personality, while being faster, lighter, and more affordable to produce.

Compared to 3D or digital painting, it requires less rendering time and simpler pipelines, making it ideal for indie projects, small studios, or experimental productions.

It’s also highly scalable, adaptable for games, animations, and print, offering both nostalgia and style.

"What’s the best pixel art style for my project?"

That depends on your project’s tone and goals.
In pixel art, there are two levels of style to consider:

1. Pixel art style:

>> Example: For example, a 16-bit look feels richer and more detailed than an 8-bit style.

2. Historical art style:

>> Example: For instance, Chibi Anime looks completely different from a realistic or western cartoon style.
